Vukelic provides all-staff trainings on school nondiscrimination policy requirements

August 14, 2020

Attorney Meredith Vukelic has created all-staff recorded video trainings for several ND public school districts to utilize now and throughout the 2020-21 school year as the districts strive to comply with their nondiscrimination and anti-harassment policies and related legal requirements.  The trainings are timely because the U.S. Department of Education implemented new Title IX regulations this year which became effective August 14, 2020.  Title IX provides protection from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive federal financial assistance.  Meredith’s all-staff trainings explain the new Title IX regs, while also placing great emphasis on the role each and every school district employee has under their district’s policy.  All district employees have reporting duties related to discrimination and harassment, and school policy requires they be trained on these duties.  If you are interested in an all-staff training opportunity for your school district, please contact Meredith at mlv@pearce-durick.com or 701-223-2890.
