The 2000s: The Firm adds five

The 2000s saw many young attorneys join the Firm including Leah Coghlan, Bonnie Christner, Tiffany Vinje née Johnson, Zack Pelham, and Chris Nyhus.

Prior to joining the Firm, Leah Coghlan clerked for the North Dakota Supreme Court. She went on to become an instructor at BSC.

Bonnie Christner joined the Firm after a brief clerkship. She moved into corporate counsel after leaving the Firm and currently works with a non-profile to provide tax preparation and advice.

Tiffany Vinje née Johnson joined the Firm out of law school. She had previously been part of a hearing in Fargo in which several law students from UND tried the case. She spent several years with the Firm before beginning her own practice with her husband.

Zack Pelham was a law clerk for the Honorable Judges of the South Central District and later a North Dakota assistant attorney general in the civil litigation division prior to joining the Firm. He was recognized in Prairie Business’s 40 under 40 providing leadership on the plains. Pelham recently served as the president of SBAND.

Chris Nyhus was an assistant state’s attorney in Morton County prior to joining the Firm. He taught business law at the University of Mary for a number of years in addition to his work with the Firm. Nyhus went on to open his own practice in Bismarck with a secondary office in Harvey, ND.
