Jack practices in civil litigation.  He focuses his practice on insurance defense, personal injury and wrongful death, business and contract disputes, and property and construction damage claims.

Jack provides thoughtful legal counsel to his clients throughout representation so they can make well-informed decisions.  He keeps his clients’ best interests in mind at all times, and he works to achieve the best results possible.

Jack is an experienced trial lawyer who handles a wide variety of cases.  He has tried cases to verdict involving wrongful death, personal injury, and construction disputes.  He regularly litigates high exposure, multi-million dollar lawsuits, and has had multiple successful jury verdicts involving claims in excess of $10 million.  Among Jack’s successful verdicts, he recently obtained a complete dismissal of his client in a wrongful death trial where the plaintiff claimed $10 million in damages.

Despite having considerable trial experience, Jack is always working to further improve. He recently graduated from the prestigious International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC) Trial Academy in 2019. The IADC Trial Academy is a comprehensive and challenging seven day program that is designed to help lawyers further develop and fine-tune trial advocacy skills.

The majority of Jack’s practice is devoted to defending claims, but he also represents plaintiffs.  He has obtained numerous successful settlements and results for his clients in those cases as well.

As a result of his hard work and achievements, he was named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2017 through 2020—a peer-reviewed selection that recognizes only 2.5% of lawyers in each state.

Jack’s passion for trial advocacy started while he was in law school.  In his final year, Jack won UND’s trial competition, the Carrigan Cup. He also competed extensively in the Moot Court and Trial Team programs.  As a result of his accomplishments throughout law school, Jack was inducted into the National Order of Barristers.
