Ben focuses his practice on general litigation, property law, contracts, oil and gas law, business formations, and estate planning and probate.  Prior to joining the firm, Ben worked as a landman in western North Dakota and eastern Montana where he performed title tracking, due diligence and curative work, right-of-way and easement negotiations with landowners, and leasing of mineral rights.  Ben is a 2011 graduate of the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he had a concentration in litigation and served as an Articles Editor for The Thomas M. Cooley Journal of Practical and Clinical Law.

While away from work, Ben enjoys coaching his sons’ hockey and baseball teams, playing recreational hockey, fishing, hunting, cooking, and spending time with his two sons, Ryan and Logan.
