Pearce & Durick Lawyer Attends American Law Institute’s Annual Meeting

American Law Institute member Larry Boschee recently attended the 89^th annual meeting of the American Law Institute in Washington D.C.  The American Law Institute is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.  At the meeting, the Institute considered its ongoing projects, including The Restatement Third of Torts: Liability for Economic Harm, The Restatement of Employment Law, and Principles of the Law of Liability Insurance.  Boschee is a member of the members consultative groups for the Restatement Third of Torts:  Liability for Economic Harm and Principles of the Law of Liability Insurance.

The Honorable John Paul Stevens, retired Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, spoke to the Institute’s members on the Supreme Court’s use of the due process clause.
